What a game!
I decided it's time I started writing about the Indians again. What's the point in having a blog if I'm using it for its original purpose? A quarter of the season is over, and after today's game there's not a better way to dive back into the blogging.
I wasn't able to watch or listen to what happened today, but from reading some of the accounts online (specifically the AP's) it seems like the Indians didn't deserve to win this bout one single bit. My feelings...I don't care one bit. How many games like this in the past few years has the Tribe been in the position of the Mariners? Another point: winning in the game of baseball relies on a bit of luck. Luck was certainly on the side of the Indians. But, let's not forget an important facet to a win like this. Cleveland played to the end of the game, and they took advantage of Mariners miscues.
That's been the makeup of the Indians for most of this season. It seems like someone, or better yet in today's case, a collective group has come up big, time and time again. I can't imagine that the Tribe's going to maintain this level of play for another five months. It's refreshing to see them win games they shouldn't, though. You have to win some like . . .
